A few simple habits keep your pieces looking polished for longer.
Jewelry
- Put your jewelry on last: after perfume, lotion and hairspray.
- Take it off before swimming, showering, sport and sleeping.
- Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing it.
- Store each piece separately in a pouch or box to avoid scratches and tangled chains.
Stainless steel and titanium steel
The most resistant. Clean with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap, then dry carefully.
Gold-tone pieces
The gold-tone finish is a thin surface layer: avoid chemicals, chlorine, salt water and rubbing with abrasive products. Wipe gently with a soft cloth.
925 sterling silver
Silver naturally darkens over time when exposed to air. Polish it with a silver cloth and keep it in a closed pouch.
Pearls and stones
Pearls are delicate: keep them away from perfume and water, and wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
Watches
- Wipe the case and strap with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid water unless water resistance is stated on the product page — and even then, not for swimming or showering unless stated.
- Keep your watch away from strong magnets and extreme temperatures.
- When the battery runs out, any watchmaker can replace it.
Leather goods
Genuine leather
Keep it dry and away from direct heat and sunlight. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth; a little leather conditioner from time to time keeps it supple. Leather naturally develops a patina over time.
Vegan leather
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid heat sources, sharp objects and solvents.
Sunglasses
- Clean the lenses with a microfibre cloth — never with paper tissues or your t-shirt.
- Rinse with lukewarm water if needed, then dry.
- Store them in a case, lenses up, and never leave them in a hot car.
- Take them off and put them on with both hands to keep the frame aligned.
